The Testing Distribution

Testing is the distribution that will be frozen at the next release, it will then become the stable distribution. See ?DebianLifecycle for a guide on how this works.

The testing distribution is currently known as etch, and when then next stable distribution is released it will be codenamed etch. A new name will then be assigned to the testing distribution.

All of the names are currently taken from the Toy Story film.
